How does it work?
- Start your budget anytime. Pick a month to begin (e.g. June), and Halter will build a 12-month budget based on your farm’s data.
- Visualise your APC projection. See where your pasture cover is heading, and whether you’ll hit your target by balance date, dry-off, or pre-calving.
- Customise to fit your farm. Use the default values or update them to match your terrain, cow liveweight, growth curve, and more.
- See pasture supply vs demand. Track when feed surpluses or deficits are likely to happen. Adjust cow numbers, utilisation, or add supplements and crops to plug any gaps.
- Tweak week by week. Drill into your plan by month or by 7-day increments to reflect weather, calving, or grazing changes.
